SimGuruGraham shared via Twitter and The Sims 3 Official Forum the full listing of lots in which the seasonal festivals will take place with The Sims 3 Seasons. Below is a list of the park or lot and which world it applies to. SimGuruGraham also noted that the game will ask you to overwrite a lot that you may have modified, it won’t overwrite or replace them automatically. It was also said that the game will also have an original of each festival lot location saved in the Edit Town lot bin. The only world in which a lot will actually be replaced is in Appaloosa Plains.
Update: SimGuruGraham has confirmed via Twitter that the lots will be placed/replaced automatically with a new save game and optional with a save game.
I just wanted people to know there’s no need to panic and rush out to save existing lots. Any lot that we’re replacing with a festival lot will have the original version of the lot also available in the edit town lot bin.
That being said, if you’ve customized the lot that we intend to replace with a festival I would recommend saving that lot in advance should you want to continue using it somewhere. Further, the game will ask you if you want to replace any customized lot; it won’t automatically overwrite one of your lots.
Appaloosa Plains is the only world where it replaces a residential lot. For those familiar with that world, you’ll notice it doesn’t really have any parks to replace (only animal variants, which are important for gameplay with specific pets in that world).
Just to note, the Lexington is an empty home lot, so no Sims are being removed from the world.
